Girls Varsity Cross Country · Girls Cross Country finishes 3rd at State

The girls cross country ran at the State Championships at the Sand Hills Cross Country Course this morning.  The girls competed against 11 other teams for the state title.  Going into the meet the girls were looking to improve on their 9th place finish from 2019 and they succeeded by finishing 3rd.   The girls were only 6 points out of 2nd place for state runner-up. Their 3rd place finish is the highest the girls have finished since 2014.



Individual Results

Congratulations to their top finisher Nora Brahim (7th grade), who ran a great race and finished 4th overall with a time of 19:25.  Also making All State was Senior Kimber Keene who finished 15th with a time of 20:13.   Senior Mary Wallace Rainero finished 20th with a time of 20:45,  followed closely by Senior Kayla Vroman (20:53, 24th) who ran the fastest race of her career by 21 seconds, freshman Nini Clarke (21:25, 37th) was 5th on the team, Junior Zoe Eckrich (21:28, 38th) was 6th and rounding out the top 7 was Freshmen Bo Rosato (21:39, 43rd).
