Bishop England watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-4 loss to Blessed Trinity on Wednesday. Blessed Trinity scored on a error in the first inning, a single by Grier in the first inning, a single by Radtke in the second inning, and a double by Grier in the second inning.
The Bishops struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Blessed Trinity, giving up 11 runs.
Blessed Trinity got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Blessed Trinity.
Bishop England notched four runs in the fourth inning. CAMPBELL BRUSMAN, RYAN TURNER, and CHASE MILLER all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Blessed Trinity scored five runs in the second inning. Radtke and Grier all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Chambers led the Blessed Trinity to victory on the mound. The hurler allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking zero. #17 and #16 entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. #17 recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Blessed Trinity.
DANIEL BROOKS took the loss for Bishop England Bishops Varsity. The righty surrendered seven runs on four hits over two innings, striking out four.
CHASE LOGGINS led Bishop England Bishops Varsity with two hits in four at bats.
Blessed Trinity tallied five hits in the game. Grier and Puckett all had multiple hits for Blessed Trinity.
